With age comes wisdom they say and I have to agree. I only wish it didn't take me 46 years to realize that the fabrics we choose to sleep on are so important. That is why I have switched all of our bedding to 100% cotton flannel sheets. They are double brushed, meaning that the cotton is brushed on both sides and it is considered the highest quality, when it comes to the different types of flannel. High quality flannel is super soft and fuzzy, without being heavy and bulky. They keep you cool during the summer by allowing heat to escape, but incredibly they also keep you warm in the winter. The fabric is moisture wicking and breathable, whereas polyester sheets are not. Polyester is a synthetic fabric that traps heat in and is heavier then cotton. It can also lead to skin irritations and allergies. Plus cotton is much better for the environment since polyester is essentially a kind of plastic made from petroleum. My favorite brand of flannel sheets are Bare Store on Amazon. They many colors and patterns to choose from. I also included a link to the bed skirt I purchased for a couple of the beds.
